Nutimik Lake is about an hour and a half drive from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. The lake is located in Whiteshell Provincial Park, a popular area for camping in this Prairie province in the middle of the country. Contributor and drone pilot TannerNG takes us on an aerial trip around the park and over the lake, specifically over Sturgeon Falls, the small waterfalls you see gushing over the rocks. Canadian wildfire smoke throws a haze over the area, giving this piece an eerie yet peaceful feel.

On July 6, 2019, I spent a few hours at Sturgeon Falls on Nutimik Lake, Manitoba. Kayaker Dan Neis was playing around in the rapids and he let me follow him for a bit. The smoke from nearby forest fires made for an eerie setting and some really cool mystery. This was shot on a DJI Mavic 2 Pro.
