Nevergreen - A view of the Laguna del Maule

An older video of mine, from the Laguna del Maule, near the Chilean border with Argentina. This whole area is around 2500 meters above sea level and is covered by snow for 6 months of the year, then baked in the rainless summer sun for the rest. Very little grows in the high altitudes. Added to the challenges of life in the high mountains is the fact that this is a super volcano complex, marked by large eruptions every so often. This whole area is under careful study, as the complex has risen over 3 meters in the last 10 years, indicating a possible large scale eruption is imminent.
