Former Drone Video of the Week Finalist PawelWorsztynowicz brings us this fantastic drone video from the Greek island of Nisyros. Nisyros is part of the Dodecanese Archipelago, a group of islands which lie off the western coast of Turkey. Nisyros was formed by a volcanic eruption which occurred on the floor of the Aegean Sea less than 150k years ago, making it an infant in geological terms. The island covers about 20 square mi. (around 50 square km) and has a permanent population of around a thousand.

Twice is definitely not enough. Somehow I have that I am attracted by volcanoes and this one is really unique. Several thousand years of human-nature cooperation perfectly complement this place. Whenever you are in Kos, and when thinking about sightseeing, book your time just to be able to see the ancient Poryphyris (an igneous rock consisting of coarse-grained crystals) ...
