MÉRIDA YUCATÁN, MÉXICO - 4K AERIAL DRONE FOOTAGE

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : Check out this excellent drone video of the Mexican city of Mérida and its surroundings on the Yucatán Peninsula, compliments of AirVuz contributor montesinosdroneworld. The video opens with a magnificent shot of the Cathedral of Mérida, the first cathedral to be finished on the mainland of the Western Hemisphere. From there you'll head to the Puerto Progreso, a port city which lies about a half hour drive north of the city of Mérida. Finally, you'll head east to the towns of Rio Lagartos and Las Coloradas.

Merida Yucatan, also know as "The White City", in this city you can see a beautiful colonial architecture and the Mayan Influence in their buildings, it's considered the place with highest living conditions in the country, you can perceive this when walking in their streets. in this aerial footage you will know some places worth visiting.

starting with some shots from the Cathedral of Merida, located in the main square or "Plaza Grande", a beautiful place, and perfect for photograpghy or just for walking enjoying the view and their unique seats, also know as confidence chairs. second place is Puerto Pogreso, a beautiful coast were you can enjoy the sea with some fresh fish or coctail, in this place you can visit the Fiscal pier with the incredible 6.5 km or around 4 miles lenght one of the largest piers in the world, it was neccesary for being able to receive giant ships. next place is Rio Lagartos, in this place you can take several of the tours available, one of them will take you around the river to visit the Flamingos Sanctuary, you will see this beautiful species with a closer look, if you have a telephoto lens with a camera it's recommended. finally you will know Las Coloradas, with their pink lagoons and also an incredible place for photography.
