Myanmar From the Sky pt 3 (The Sacred Plains of Bagan) in 4K
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
In the middle of the Southeast Asian nation of Myanmar, the Irrawaddy River makes a large bend which created a large area of plains. On this fertile plain grew the Pagan Empire, one of the two main political forces in Southeast Asia in the 12th and 13th centuries (the other being the Khmer Rouge in present-day Cambodia). During this time, it was home to literally thousands of Buddhist pagodas and temples. See these Sacred Plains from above in this amazing drone video by contributor and pilot Xavigator.

I do not own the music used. The track is The Missing Piece by Dhamika from the album Solitude, you can listen and buy it on Bandcamp (https://bit.ly/2HtE6mE) or Spotify (https://spoti.fi/2ETyfl0). This time we fly over Bagan, the holiest place in Myanmar and, possibly, the whole Buddhist world. It is estimated that around 13,000 temples and pagodas existed in these plains at the height of the kingdom's power between the XI and XIII century. This once densest concentration of worshipping structures has declined to around 2,200, which are now in various states of disrepair. The ultimate activity to do in Bagan is a sunrise hot air baloon ride. These will set you back about $300, so enjoy this free aerial tour through the lens of my Mavic Pro.
