Mpaos | The Island of the Seagulls | FPV

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :

AirVuz contributor Paschalis Douimanis brings us this fantastic drone video from Greece's Aegean Islands.  The video was filmed over Mpaos, a tiny uninhabited islet which lies just off the coast of Mykonos, one of the main members of the Cyclades archipelago in the western Aegean Sea.  Filmed with a DJI Mavic Pro 3 as well as a DJI Avata first person view (FPV) drone, the video features some epic coastal cruising shots as well as some nice views of the Church of St. George, the island's primary landmark.

BADGES THIS VIDEO HAS EARNED:

An FPV tour of Mpaos island of Mykonos at sunrise.

Mpaos is a small, uninhabited island, right outside of Mykonos in Greece. According to the tradition, the island was home to a vampire who used to storm out at night to find human blood. The legend says that the place was used to exile vampires, because they would not be able to escape due to the salty water of the sea, and so some rocks are shaped like their faces. Mpaos island was used as cemetery and combustion spot for vampires. One of those incidents took place back in the beginning of the 18th century. Source: Βικιπαίδεια (greek version of Wikipedia)
