Here's an awesome drone video of a beautiful area in the Peloponnese region of southern Greece, compliments of contributor and pilot chris ikarus. The Methana Peninsula is a landform on the eastern side of the larger Peloponnese Peninsula.  It was created by the action of 32 volcanoes which began erupting about a million years ago.  The eruptions continued until about 300 years ago.  That being said, the volcanoes (most of which are lava domes) are not considered to be permanently dormant.
