The Mersey Gateway Bridge is one of the most expensive bridges ever constructed in the United Kingdom. Completed in 2017, it spans both the Mersey River and the parallel Manchester Canal in Cheshire, one of the counties of the North West England region. Situated about 1.5 km (around a mile) upstream of the older Silver Jubilee Bridge, the newer span has a total length of about 2.2 km or around 1.4 mi. In this drone video by AirVuz contributor Csaba Jonas, you can see this modern marvel from a bird's eye perspective.
