Melchsee-Frutt is a summer and winter sports resort in the Swiss canton Obwalden in the municipality of Kerns in Central Switzerland. The village of Melchsee-Frutt lies at an altitude of 1920 m above sea level. The high plateau with the two lakes Melchsee and Tannensee is surrounded by mountain ranges, which round the Hochalp almost completely.
