Rinjani on Indonesia's Lombok island.  Rising to an altitude of 3.7k meters above sea level (about 12.2k ft.) this active volcano is the second highest mountain in the country, after Mt. Kerinci on the island of Sumatra.  Mt. Rinjani is situated in the north central part of Lombok, one of the Lesser Sunda islands in the West Nusa Tenggara region of the country.  The mountain and hot springs around it are considered sacred by the Hindu population.
