(about 200k square km) in eastern Pakistan and western India. The Pakistani portion of the desert lies in the provinces of Sindh and Punjab. Much of the desert consists of sand dunes that continually shift, particularly during the monsoon season. Annual rainfall in the desert ranges from 4-20 inches (about 100-500 mm).
