Liapades is a small village with a population of about 900 inhabitants. The location of the village is very convenient for trips to Kerkyra, Sidari, and Paleokastritsa.
The beach is located on the west coast. There are views of the mountains, the blue color of the water, curved bays, and quite cold water. The sea is quite calm, without any waves, and is suitable for canoeing and paddle boarding. It is very deep everywhere, so it is not suitable for visiting with small children. It is preferable to walk in water shoes, because the beach is quite rocky and there are sea urchins.
There are no hotels in the old part of the whole. The streets are narrow and steep and can only be passed on foot or by motorbike. The hotels are in the new part of the village and closer to the beach.
In the vicinity of Liapades, there are other beaches that are only accessible by dirt roads - Rovinia, Klimatia, Limni, Stelari, and Paradise Beach.
