Kostroma and Ples aerial view

Contributor Supasanya brings us this excellent drone video of two cities on Russia's Volga River.  The first is Kostroma, which lies at the confluence of the Voga and Kostroma Rivers in its namesake oblast (province) which is part of Russia's Central Federal District.  Kostroma is part of the group of cities northeast of Moscow known as the Golden Ring, which played an important part in the historical development of Russian Orthodoxy.  The second city is called Plyos; it's located about 45 mi (around 70 km) downriver in the Ivanovo Oblast.
