Contributor and pilot Dronalb created this beautiful drone video of one of the most well known natural sites in Albania. The Osum Canyon is created by the river of the same name. It's located near the town of Çorovodë in Berat County, in the south-central part of this Balkan country. The canyon is around 25 km (about 15 mi.) long, and when the waters are high in the spring the entire length can be explored by boat. It's easily accessible from Berat, one of the main cities of the region.

Osumi Canyons are 26 km length, in an altitude of 450m from sea level. The canyon is marvelous for its ecosystem that preserves in itself where as well, the greenery in both sides of the canyon is a permanent feature. Spring is also the best time to view the many waterfalls in the canyons, which thunder from above as explorers pass below on boats. The rapids are Class-II, so one does not need prior white water experience to join the fun. The best months for rafting on the Osumi River are February to June.
Osumi canyons give you a magic impression in the first second you see them. Often it is hard enough or even impossible to describe those emotions that you experience seeing and touching, and perhaps it is incredible but it is true that experiencing these emotions will change your life. The view they offer when you see from high up is really breathtaking but the experience when you are actually down and having a walk makes you think you are part of a fairytale, or perhaps dreaming.
