KONKORDIA (Switzerland)
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
Filmed with a DJI Phantom 4, contributor AirDroner shares his fascinating views of Konkordiaplatz, a UNESCO World Heritage natural site in central Switzerland. This area is the junction of four large glaciers coming down from the Aletschfirn, the Jungfraufirn, the Ewigschneefäld and the Grüneggfirn. The most recognized feature of Konkordia is the famous "hut" which is maintained by the Swiss Alpine Club. The junction area sits at an altitude of about 2.7k meters, or just under 9k ft.

The Konkordiaplatz or Concordia Place (French: Place de la Concorde) in Switzerland, is the junction of four large glaciers coming down from the Aletschfirn, the Jungfraufirn, the Ewigschneefäld and the Grüneggfirn. The main Aletsch Glacier originates from Konkordiaplatz. The Konkordiahütte (hut) oversees this UNESCO World Heritage site and can only be reached by helicopter or by walking over the glaciers. It is advisable to start the walking on the glaciers route at the bottom of the Jungfraujoch and end near Märjelen. On the movie it can be seen other wonders of the Jungfrau region / Interlaken like the bridge over the Trift glacier, the Niesenbahn, the waterfalls at Lauterbrunnen, the Schilthorn, the Jungfraujoch (highest train station in Europe) or the Oberhofen castle.
The movie was made primarily with a Phantom 4 although I included some poorer quality shots from Phantom 2 and Iphone for story telling purposes. ;-)
