KELOPATRA HAMAMI KOYU (CHELOPATRA BATH BAY)

The bay, where the ruins of the baths built in the Ancient Lycian Period are located, is the place where daily boat tours and blue cruise yachts stop most frequently among the Göcek bays. In addition to the bath ruins, there are also Byzantine Monastery ruins in the bay. According to a rumor, the bath, which is said to have been built as a "sea bath" by the king of the city above, has nothing to do with Cleoptra. It is named Cleopatra Bay just because of its beauty. Pine and olive trees, which make up the unique nature of Göcek bays, can also be found in Cleopatra Bay. The parts of the bay close to the land, which can only be reached by boats, are quite deep. Therefore, it is dangerous for children and those who cannot swim to go to the ruins of the baths.
