At the 1:10 mark, you'll see the Al-Askari Shrine in Samarra, about 80 mi. (125 km) north of Bagdad, and at the 1:24 mark you'll see the Great Mosque of Samarra, which dates to the 9th century AD.

After visiting Iraq three times now within six months I now have a pretty good impression of the country. I can definitely tell that most of the people, at least my friends and family, have a big misconception of the country.It’s not safe. It’s dangerous. Bad people.That were the sentences I always had to listen to before traveling to Iraq. Yes, there was war in Iraq but time has passed. Media still only shows bad things about this country, about the middle east in general, and because of that the bad impression of Iraq imprinted in peoples head.

So please watch the video and check out the beautiful people, the amazing landscape and the stunning architecture. Even though this video can not even express how lovely this country is.
