Castel Falfi is one of the premiere lodging properties in the Tuscany region of western Italy.  Set in the fabled Tuscan rolling hills about an hour's drive southwest of Florence and a comparable distance northwest of Siena, the resort is built upon an 800 year old hilltop estate which was owned by the powerful Medici family.  Very nearly abandoned by the mid-20th century, the landmark was restored and is now one of Tuscany's five star accommodations.  The resort grounds feature over 50 acres of vineyards and over 9,000 olive trees.
