Take in some dramatic aerial views of Iceland in this amazing 60 second drone video by brand-new AirVuz contributor and pilot sw-productions. Most of the video was shot over the Highlands, a giant plateau which covers most of the interior of this North Atlantic island. Due to the volcanic nature of the soil on the plateau, the highlands are largely desert-like - while there is ample precipitation, the water is quickly absorbed into the ground and not available to support vegetation. Parts of the highlands are also covered by glaciers.

While traveling through the beautiful country of Iceland we were able to shoot the incredible nature. Lush green hills, deep blue glaciers, and dark grey valleys - nearly everything can be found on the nordic island. Thanks to the surprisingly nice weather the nature was able to present itself in the perfect light.
