Located on the island's southeastern coast, the resort was temporarily closed when a series of wildfires raged out of control in late July of 2023, forcing the evacuation of thousands of tourists and residents on the isand's eastern side. AirVuz contributor Devenox Drones created this outstanding drone video of the resort just before the onset of the fires. The five star property re-opened in early August of 2023.
