Helmcken Waterfalls is a famous falls in Western Canada, a region known in part for its waterfalls. Situated on the Murtle River in Wells Gray Provincial Park in British Columbia, the falls has a single drop of 141 meters (463 ft.). The makes it Canada's fourth-tallest waterfall with no breaks. It's one of the main attractions of the park, which covers over 500k hectares (about 1.3 million acres) and is BC's fourth largest park. The protection of Helmcken Falls was one of the reasons for the creation of Wells Gray Provincial Park back in 1939.
