Filmed in Woodward, Oklahoma, Chris and his co-worker Brian Cates came up with the idea for this ironic short film. The actor in the video, Shain Rutz, is a local UPS driver. Chris used the Autel Evo for the aerial footage and a DJI Phantom 4 for the prop drone. He also did all the visual effects himself and is taking home $500 for his win! And don't worry, Chris says "No person - or drone - was harmed in the making of this film!"

A man longs to fly like the birds, but his drone might not exactly accomplish what he'd hoped. _______________________ Heads Up is a humorous, ironic short film written to utilize the unique perspective offered by drones. I wanted to create a film with no dialogue that was similar to a Pixar short or an old silent film comedy. Drones are amazing tools that can help tell all kinds of stories and can even be part of the stories themselves. I am excited to create and tell more stories with drones!
