A tiny French-controlled island in the Indian Ocean next to Madagascar, Reunion Island is known for its volcanic, rainforested interior, coral reefs, and beaches.  This video captures an active volcano, the lush forest, stunning cliffs, and bookends with a mother whale and her calf!  While other Indian Ocean islands have become independent, Reunion remains a French territory.
