Grosser Mythen

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : Check out this fantastic drone video of a mountain in central Swizterland, compliments of AirVuz contributor and pilot Simonology. It's called Grosser Mythen, and it's part of the sub-chain of the main Alps range known as the Schwyz Alps. It's located in the central canton of Schwyz. Situated just east of the canton's namesake town, Grosser Mythen has a peak altitude of just over 6.2k ft. above sea level, or around 1.9k meters. The video was shot on a day when the mountain's peak was covered in a thick fog.

On my last day when travelling in Switzerland I wanted to hike up this iconic peak and luckily the day started with clear blue skies but soon clouds started to move in. Half way up the mountain which completely disappeared in thick clouds, a large gap appeared and I quickly grabbed the drone to shoot this footage. Amazing to see the carved in zig-zag trail leading up to the peak with a few hikers taking on the challenge. Shot entirely with DJI Mavic Air in 4K / 30fps. Edited with Adobe Premiere Pro.
