Gulf of Morbihan is situated in the department of the same name, the southernmost of the four which comprise the region of Brittany. The harbor, whose name translates to "Little Sea" is distinguished by the many small islands which are spread throughout it, many of them tidal in nature. It's also known for being the site of some of the oldest ruins in France.
