After hearing all the soft-mount motor hype, I decided to try it. It seemed logical to me that dampening the one source of vibration (the motors) would almost have to introduce less noise into the frame & electronics. I can honestly say that it DOES help SOME for smoothing out a tune. It eliminated approx 50% of my shakes. I still have a little jitter on pitch (still upping P to try to completely remove that).
My vote on soft-mounting motors: I'm not sure whether it helps much for racing rigs, but I definitely do notice an overall subtle smoothing that I like for freestyle flying.
