The largest of the southern suburbs of the Greek capital city, Glyfada stretches from the Hymettus Mountain to the body of water known as the Saronic Gulf. The site of a US Air Force base during the Cold War years, Glyfada is considered one of the most Americanized areas of Greece. Nowadays, it's known for its very active nighclub scene.
