GREECE FROM THE AIR: MONEMVASIA, PELOPONESE (GREECE) 4K

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :

The Greek town of Monemvasia is located on a tiny island off the southeastern coast of Laconia in the Peloponnese.  The main part of the town lies near the base of a plateau, atop which sits a medieval era fortress.  Founded in the 6th century AD, the town withtstood seiges by both Arab and Norman forces, later (like much of the eastern Mediterranean) coming under Venetian control.  Since 1971, it's been joined to the mainland by a 200 meter (660 ft.) causeway.  Get a bird's eye view of Monemvasia in this drone video by Viajes Lost Planet.
