Fort de la Chartreuse, Liège, Belgium

The parking is inside the city park of the Chartreuse in Liège. The barracks are now no more acessible, because of the danger. They fall in due to negligence.

200 years ago the Dutch build there a military fort, as part of a chain of forts all across Europe to contain Napoleon. Much later on the Belgian army transformed the site into barracks and training fields, adding floors atop the constructions of the Dutch.
