Exploring the Highlands

Nominated for Drone Video of the Week in April, 2018, this aerial showcase by contributor Alex Lockwood features the magnificent natural landscapes of the Scottish Highlands, the region occupying the northern and western reaches of this semi-autonomous region of the United Kingdom.  The focus of the video is a natural phenomenon somewhat unique to Scotland: mountain valleys known as "glens" which cover much of the area; it's a land of picturesque waterfalls, winding streams, mossy forests, and snow-capped mountains.
