My autumn journey to catch all of English Heritage sights starts at Uffington where we find the White Horse (believed to be 3.000 years old), carved into the chalk ridge, the hill fort ("Castle") from the iron age and the "Dragon Hill" which may have a connection the St. George and his dragon.Wayland's Smithy is an iron age chambered tomb from around 3.500 BC.
