AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : Brand-new contributor Rod Herzstrom brings us this excellent drone video from one of the most iconic alpine spots in Germany: the Eibsee lake in Bavaria. Located just outside of the ski town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen and about 100 km (around 60 mi.) southwest of Munich, the modestly-sized lake covers about 2 square km (around 440 acres). The lake lies at the northern base of Zugspitze, Germany's highest mountain, which has a summit elevation of just under 3k meters about sea level or approximately 9.7k ft.
