Home of Super Bowl LIII, Atlanta, Georgia has been listed as a Top-20 city for football fans. It came in at #14 with an overall score of 40.74, ranking #16 for pro football and #103 for college football in the WalletHub report. A large part of the city’s success is due to its brand new, $1.5 billion Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Completed in 2017, the NFL’s newest stadium is home to the Atlanta Falcons. LEED platinum certified, it features 4,000 solar panels and uses 47% less water and 29% less energy than a typical stadium. The stadium is 2 million-square-feet, features a 16 story glass Window to the City and 110,000-square-foot plaza called Front Porch. The coolest part of the stadium can be seen from the sky - a translucent, eight-petaled ocular retractable roof. It opens and closes like a camera lens in less than 12 minutes. Surrounding the roof opening is a 360-degree Halo Video Board. It’s the largest LED scoreboard in the world at 63,000 square feet.
