Echoes of Tethys - Exploring Mangystau, Kazakhstan

Join me on a journey into the past to the remnants of the ancient seas that once covered Mangystau.

Around 70 million years ago, during the Late Cretaceous, layers of marine sediment accumulated across this region. Over millions of years, uplift, wind and water transformed the former seabed into Mangystau’s chalk-white cliffs, vast canyons and otherworldly rock formations.

A drone journey full with discoveries, hardships and a lot of fun.
