AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : Top AirVuz contributor and drone pilot Uncle Damn was hired to provide aerial video services for the European Wildwater Canoeing Championship in Matka, Macedonia. Representatives from the host nation as well as from Germany, France, Italy, the UK, and several other nations were on hand. His drone video of the event provides a bird's eye view of some world class kayaking, as well as some great aerial views of Macedonia, a small Southeast European country and former member of the Yugoslave Confederation. .

This is my LIVE coverage of the European Wildwater Canoeing Championship (ECA) on Matka. Representatives from the host nation as well as from Germany, France, Italy, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Great Britain, Croatia, Switzerland, Slovakia, Austria, Belgium, Netherlands, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Hungary were competing in this event. This special place is also the host to many canoe and kayak events all year long. Famous among the champs, this Canyon holds a special place in everyone's hearts and it's definitely a favorite from the calendar. Covering an event like this was very challenging, but and the same time very fulfilling. Having multiple batteries was key, managing them with so many contestants, with multiple things to cover and the fast pace of the races turned out to be extremely tricky. Planing made everything easier. Having the schedule ahead of time, making quick hands on decisions proved to be very helpful. This Red Bull sponsored event had many races with multiple categories going thru the weekend, and was broadcast LIVE and Youtube and Facebook so to bring a bigger audience.
