Dunstaffnage Castle and Chapel
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
Dunstaffnage Castle is one of Scotland's oldest stone castles. Situated near the entrance to Loch Etive, in the western council area of Argyll and Bute, the castle dates to the 13th century. Seen here in this drone video by contributor Puppy59, it's been under the control of the powerful Clan Campbell since the 15th century. The castle was the scene of fighting both in the English Civil War of the mid-1600's as well as during the Jacobite Uprising a century later. Both the castle and the adjacent chapel are UK Scheduled Monuments.

Dunstaffnage Castle is a partially ruined castle in Argyll and Bute, western Scotland. It lies 3 miles NNE of Oban, situated on a platform of conglomerate rock on a promontory at the south-west of the entrance to Loch Etive, and is surrounded on three sides by the sea. It consists of a massive 13th-century curtain wall, with round towers, and an altered 16th-century gatehouse. The wall is 60-foot high in places, crowned by a parapet with a wall walk, still accessible for part of the wall, and is pierced by arrow slits. Ranges of buildings within the walls contained a hall and kitchen.
