Our $1,000 winner for Drone Video of the Week is Unique Lodges Of The World by Sandrine Hecq! Sandrine is a passionate drone vlogger based in Western Australia. This film was shot at Topas Ecolodge, a small resort on a hilltop in the mountains of Hoang Lien National Park about 45 minutes north of Sa Pa, the capital of Sa Pa District in the Lào Cai Province in north-west Vietnam. When asked about the video, she said “This lodge was featured by National Geographic and I loved getting the beautiful aerial views with my DJI Phantom 4 Pro. I used a ND 32 and ND 16 Polar Pro Filter and made sure to fly at sunset to get the best colors. Editing this hidden gem on Final Cut Pro was so much fun. I came up with some great drone ideas as seen on the beginning of this clip and captured a more cinematic style to enhance the beauty. Finding the right song was my biggest challenge but finally came across something stunning.
