Drone Footage of the Chicago Cubs World Series Parade
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
When the Chicago Cubs won baseball's World Series in 2016 after a nearly century long hiatus, Chicago erupted like no city in modern memory. Millions of fans turned out to watch the Cubs victory parade. Top AirVuz contributor Sky Candy Studios traveled to the Windy City on that historic October day with a drone to film the parade with a drone. While his access was somewhat limited, the video is still quite remarkable in what it captures from this historic event in Chicago and baseball history.

This morning, November 4th, 2016, was one to remember. I took my drone down to Chicago to capture the victory parade of the Chicago Cubs following their World Series victory over the Cleveland Indians. Once the parade route was announced earlier this week, I knew I had to grab my DJI Phantom 4 and head do to catch all the action from an aerial perspective. As of now, official attendance estimates had not been released, but you can see tens-of-thousands of people came out to celebrate the once in a century event. The parade ran down Michigan Avenue and culminated in a rally at Grant Park. Between the massive crowds and the spectacular fall weather, the aerials captured of this incredible sporting event may be amongst the best and most-viewed drone videos I’ve ever shot.
Myself and my company have the certifications required by the FAA for shooting aerial cinematography for commercial purposes. To see more of our videos, check out our page at www.airvuz.com/user/SkyCandStudios.
