Donner Pass California

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :

Donner Pass is one of the main passages through the USA's Sierra Nevada Mountains.  Seen here in this drone video by cward360, the pass was used by the first Transcontinental Railroad, Interstate 80, and in between by virtually every other railroad and highway to San Francisco.  It's named after an ill-fated group of 83 pioneers trying to reach California who were forced to spend the winter of 1846-47 here.  Famously, the 45 members of the Donner Party who survived that terrible winter did so by consuming the remains of those who did not.
