DENTES DE NAVARINO - THE END OF THE WORLD TREKKING

PORTUGUESE: A Ilha Navarino é uma das inúmeras ilhas do arquipélago da Terra do Fogo, no extremo sul da América do Sul. Fica a cerca de 800 km de distância da Antártida e é onde se localiza a cidade mais austral do planeta, Puerto Williams, que fica a 60 km a sudeste de Ushuaia. Em janeiro de 2019 percorremos o Circuito “Dentes de Navarino”, considerado um dos melhores trekkings do mundo e um entre os 5 melhores de toda a Patagônia. Foram pouco mais de 65 km de trekking, onde fizemos pequenas variações no trajeto com objetivo de apreciarmos algumas paisagens diferentes. Todo o circuito tem segredos bem guardados, que são verdadeiras jóias: mirantes onde ninguém vai, cumes bem acessíveis com vistas deslumbrantes, lagunas desconhecidas encravadas entre os picos das montanhas, pequenos oásis no meio da paisagem árida do deserto andino. It is about 800 km away from Antarctica and is where the southernmost city on the planet, Puerto Williams, is located. 60 km southeast of Ushuaia. In January 2019 we toured the “Dentes de Navarino” Circuit, considered one of the best trekkings in the world and one of the top 5 in all of Patagonia. There were just over 65 km of trekking, where we made small variations in the route in order to enjoy some different landscapes. The whole circuit has well-kept secrets, which are true jewels: lookouts where no one goes, very accessible peaks with stunning views, unknown lagoons wedged between mountain peaks, small oases in the middle of the arid Andean desert landscape.
