Cuetzalan and the voladores (Dance of the Flyers)

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :

Cuetzalan is a very old town in the Sierra Norte region of Mexico's state of Pueblo, in the northeastern part of the country.  One of its attractions is the Dance of the Flyers (Danza de los Voladores), an aerial ritual which dancers move about a 30 meter tall pole (100 ft.).  The ceremony has roots as a fertility and rain dance dating to Pre-Columbian times.  Now recognized as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage "site", you can see the ritual from a bird's eye in this drone video by top contributor Postandfly.
