Crimea (Yalta, Sevastopol, Balaklava)
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
Take in these stunning aerial views of Russia's Crimea Region, compliments of AirVuz contributor VadimUshKa. The video opens with shots of Yalta, a resort town which was the summer home of the Tsars and the site of a famous conference near the end of World War II. Then it's on to Sebastopol, the great Black Sea port city. The third spot is Balaklava, a settlement which lies just to the southeast of Sebastopol and which was the site of a 19th century battle immortalized in Tennyson's poem the Charge of the Light Brigade.

Yalta is a city and port in Crimea on the southern coast of the peninsula. This is the most popular resort in Crimea, which is the center of an entire resort agglomeration. Yalta attracts tourists with a warm and clean sea, a comfortable climate, an abundance of various entertainment, many picturesque natural places and architectural monuments. Some of the most famous sights of Crimea, luxurious ancient palaces of the 19-20 centuries and beautiful parks are concentrated around the resort. Sevastopol is a port city in the southwestern part of the Crimean Peninsula and the main Black Sea base of the Russian Navy. Neither the heroic past, which entailed the reconstruction of entire districts, nor the stay in a closed status, did not distort the appearance of the old port, so today's Sevastopol remains the same "white city" as it appeared to foreign tourists of the 19th century. Blue bays with formidable batteries lurking on the shore, parades of battle cruisers and green boulevards, between which memorials flashed, reminiscent of past battles and victories - it is worth allowing yourself to find yourself in the middle of all this Sevastopol beauty at least once in your life. Balaklava is a small town in the south-west of Crimea, just fifteen kilometers from Sevastopol, which is administratively an integral part of it. It is located between several high hills that have grown up around the bay of the same name, one of the most convenient on the Black Sea and connected to it by a narrow passage. Balaklava is an amazing place with sandy and pebble beaches and a developed tourist infrastructure. It is called ideal for relaxation throughout the peninsula. A special atmosphere reigns here, which, coupled with a favorable climate, makes this resort one of the best in Russia.
