The Greek island of Corfu in the Ionian Sea was one of the jewels of the Venetian Empire from the late Middle Ages through the time of Napoleon.  During this time, the island came under siege from the Ottoman Empire on multiple occasions, and Corfu was seen as a bulwark of Christianity in its bitter fight for mastery of the Mediterranean Sea against the forces of Islam.  In this drone video, you will get a bird's eye view of the area around the so-called "Old Fortress" of Corfu, on the eastern side of the island.
