Check out this haunting but fascinating drone video from the scene of one of history's greatest industrial accidents, compliments of David.Haring. The northern Ukrainian city of Pripyat was built in the 1970's in connection with the construction of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. When the plant's #4 reactor core exploded on April 26, 1986, the city's 50,000 inhabitants were evacuated. The disaster is credited with thousands of cancer deaths and contributed to the downfall of the USSR in 1991.
