Chapel "St. Dimitar", Assenovgrad - Bulgaria

The St Dimitrar Chapel is standing 400 meters above ground. It is located south of Asenovgrad on an actual hill. It was built at the end of the 11th century. The famous Gr. Bakuriani decided to build a tower. His purpose was to protect the people living there. Now it belongs to the Bachkovo Monastery. It was rebuilt in the beginning of the 19th century.
