Castles in Baden-Württemberg

Contributor and pilot Stefan Beumer used a DJI Mavic Pro drone to create this aerial view of two of Europe's most famous Gothic Revival castles, both of which are located in southwestern Germany.  The first, Lichtenstein Castle, was completed in 1842 on the site of an 11th-century castle.  The second, Hohenzollern Castle, also built on the site of an earlier structure, was completed in 1867.  It was the ancestral seat of the Hohenzollern family, which ruled Prussia and then all of Germany until 1918.
