Castle Bouzov
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
Bouzov is one of the most famous castles in the Moravia region of the eastern Czech Republic. Like many castles in Central Europe, it was originally built as a gothic-style fortification. After falling into a period of disuse, Bouzov was re-built in the Neo-Gothic style early in the 20th century. It is dominated by a massive watchtower which extends almost 60 meters (just under 200 ft.) high. Located near the town of Olomuc, the great landmark has been used as a filming locations for several movies.

Until 1696 it was owned alternately by members of various Czech and Moravian families, then the manor with the castle was bought by the Order of German Knights. Since 1945, it is the property of the state. In 1999 it was declared a national cultural monument.
