Castelul de lut Valea Zanelor - Porumbacul de Sus, Sibiu, Romania
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
While the Transylvania region of Romania has many castles which are centuries old, one of the hottest tourist spots in the Romanian region is a very recently built castle made of clay. The Castelul de lut Valea Zanelor ("Clay Castle of the Valley of Fairies") was built by an ecologically-minded couple who sold their home in Bucharest. Located a half hour's drive from the town of Sibiu, its construction is 100% organic material. Get a bird's eye view of this unique landmark, compliments of contributor Florin Vintila.

The charming cob castle, Castelul de Lut Valea Zanelor (Clay Castle of the Valley of Fairies) is made of dirt and clay. In a village 24 miles from the Romanian city of Sibiu is a decidedly quirky “fairytale castle” called Castelul de Lut Valea Zanelor, which translates to Clay Castle of the Valley of Fairies.
