The Swiss city of Bellinzona is located on the Ticino River, in a spot which provides a route into the Po River Valley of northern Italy (via Lake Maggiore) as well as to a number of passes through the Alps to the north. In testament to its strategic importance, the hills to the east of the city are home to three famous fortifications known collectively as the Castles of Bellinzona. In this drone video by LuganoDroni, you'll get an aerial view of the Sasso Corbaro. The highest of the three landmarks, it dates to the late 15th century.
