The “reveal shot” is a favorite amongst cinematographers. Defined as a shot that gives the audience a wider view and is useful for showing direction that a subject is moving towards, or revealing to the audience elements outside of the boundaries of a subject’s awareness. Dronies taken in epic locations make the reveal shot simple for anyone with a steady hand and a drone, just like this dronie taken from Camps Bay, South Africa.  The bay is one of a series which lies just south of Cape Town.
